The Turbosmart vIWG Vacuum-Operated Wastegate Actuator is a bolt-on upgrade designed to improve boost response, control, and consistency for the factory turbo system fitted to the Mk8 Ford Fiesta ST.

Compared to the OEM actuator, it increases the working ratio through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised spring calibration. This gives the actuator greater mechanical leverage against boost pressure and exhaust backpressure, while maintaining smooth and responsive operation across the RPM range.

With factory base pressure, this results in quicker spool, a stronger and more usable mid-range torque curve, and improved boost holding at higher RPM. Higher boost setups can further enhance performance, though ECU tuning and recalibration is recommended for best results.
