In order to provide the smoothest ordering process possible, the following policies apply to all orders placed with us either online or over the phone. Payments

We accept the following payments:

We use Paypal as our trusted payment gateway for all card transactions to ensure the safety and security of your payments. Your payment details are securely encrypted and processed through PayPal, your banking details are not visible to us or recorded, no card information is stored on our website.

What is a Payment Gateway? A payment gateway acts as a digital cashier for online stores, serving as the intermediary (or middleman) between the store and your bank. It allows businesses to accept a range of electronic payments, including credit and debit cards. This gateway encrypts sensitive information, verifies the transaction, and ensures that funds are securely transferred from the customer’s account to the merchant’s account.

NOTE: When paying by Debit or Credit Card, the word ‘PayPal’ or similar will appear beside the transaction on your bank statement.

Warranties

Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. We recommend you retain your receipt, as we may require proof that you purchased the product from us.

If your product becomes defective during the warranty period, we will repair, replace, or refund where a product is faulty; or not fit for intended purpose.

This warranty will not cover modified product; misuse or abuse of the product contrary to user instructions or packaging label; change of mind and normal wear and tear.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits to the customer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.

If any defect in materials or workmanship in product sold by Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres  is identified and notified to us within the warranty period then we will, at our discretion repair or replace the product. Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres does not accept any liability beyond this for consequential loss. Warranty is subject to us being satisfied that a defect was not caused by, or was not substantially contributed to by, other factors beyond our control, including (but not limited to): defective installation, maintenance, or repair; alterations or modifications of the product in a manner not recommended by the Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres; or any neglect, misuse or excessive use.

To claim warranty within the warranty period, please contact Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres at sales@sydneyperformance.com.au or phone 02 9826 0096. You will need to provide a receipt or other proof of purchase. Additional information may be required to process your claim. Any expenses relating to the return of your product to workshop will normally have to be paid by you.

Returns, Refunds & Exchange

Please read our Returns & Refunds policy page for more information on returns and refunds.

When a refund is required (please also refer to our Returns policy), it will be processed via the payment method used when placing the order. Refunds are generally processed within 3 of approval. Some payment options such as Afterpay can take up to a week to appear back into your account.

If you experience problems with your item and would like to exchange it, refer to our Warranty policy on this page.

All special orders, or custom made products, are non-refundable or exchangeable.

Prices

The prices throughout this site include GST (customers outside Australia excluded). So you can be confident of price stability. At Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres, we make every endeavour to maintain prices on our website. However, factors beyond our control (such as changes in foreign currency exchange rates, changes in base material costs, etc.) may vary costs and we reserve the right to amend prices accordingly. We reserve the right to amend or cancel any promotion at any time, without notice.

Stock Availability

Items on our website are generally held in stock. While we aim to provide accurate stock information at all times, on occasion quantities can be incorrect. When an item listed as in stock cannot be shipped, we will call or email you to be as quick as we can to resolve.

Pre-orders

Some items may be offered for pre-order prior to release date. While we aim to keep estimated arrival dates as current as possible, these are estimates and as such are subject to change. We will contact customers with pre-orders whenever there is a date change. Most products available for pre-order require payment in full. Orders are non-refundable unless arrival dates are changed and cancellation is requested within 72 hours of date change.

Cancellation & Change of Mind

Customers are welcome to cancel any unshipped orders at any time. Please note, as we dispatch orders very quickly, we may not process email requests in time.

Please note: Custom made products and special order products cannot be cancelled once the manufacturing process has commenced, or returned unless faulty or damaged. All special orders, or custom made products, are non-refundable or exchangeable.

In the event that you receive the products as stated, but that you simply change your mind, we may, at our discretion, offer you a refund or exchange. Once the item is shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.

Customer Service Emails

When we require further information from you relating to your order, we will contact you via email. This can happen if we receive an incorrect delivery address, conflicting orders or for any reasons as noted above. If a response is required and is not received within 24 hours we may cancel your order. We will then attempt to contact you via phone. If an order is cancelled you will be refunded and notified accordingly.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns

Sometimes products need to be returned due to faults or other reasons. Custom made products and special order products cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged. All special orders, or custom made products, are non-refundable or exchangeable.

Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law – Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Refunds

The way your refund is processed depends on your original payment method. Refunds will only be paid in the same payment method as the original purchase. Please consult your bank, PayPal or payment method provider for information on the timeframe required for payments to reflect in your account.

Please allow up to three (3) business days of receipt of the returned item or cancellation request for Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres to submit your refund.

Please note: All special orders, or custom made products, are non-refundable.

Delivery & Shipping Policy

We ship throughout Australia and worldwide using Australia Post and DHL freight delivery. Shipping and handling is calculated at checkout based on the destination and weight and dimensions of the items.

Delivery Addresses

Within Australia and New Zealand

Our logistics ship to all areas in Australia and New Zealand, to both local addresses, PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers around Australia..

International

DHL shipping products are available to be delivered to PO boxes. Please note: there are some countries in the Middle East (Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates) that accept shipments labelled with a PO Box address only. Shipments for these destinations will be returned to shipper if no PO box is displayed in the address.

Please note: Australia Post International does not deliver to international Post Office Boxes.

Australia Post International must be shipped to the cardholders address. Items will not be shipped to overseas Post Office boxes.

DHL Global

Arrives in 1 – 7 business days with tracking. Refer to the DHL Website for more information

Please note, most orders arrive duty free, however you may be subject to import duties and taxes once a shipment reaches your country. We are not responsible and have no control over these fees.

Order Tracking & Signature Capture

Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse you will receive an email with your tracking number. Your tracking number can also be found by logging into your account online and viewing your order history. Please allow 24 hours for your tracking number to be activated by our courier company.

Company policy is that we send all parcels with Signature on Delivery and do not under any circumstances issue instructions to our couriers to leave deliveries unattended when no one is at the delivery location.

Heavy Goods

For unusually large or bulky orders our customer service staff may contact you if any additional freight costs are needed.

Damaged Items

Whilst we package our orders very well and take every care when dispatching, occasionally items can arrive damaged. If you have received a damaged item, please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order. We will request a photo of the damaged goods so we can assess and offer an appropriate solution. We may ask that you return the damaged item to us. If this is the case, when returning an item, please ensure it is packaged well to prevent further damage. Once we have received the damaged item back to us we can arrange a replacement or a refund.

Parcels Lost or Damaged in Transit

Refunds are issued as per Damaged Items Policy. For lost items we can issue either a replacement or refund once the item is deemed lost by the shipping provider.

Transit Goods Insurance ???

DHL includes insurance – check this. Do you offer this? eg If you wish to insure, it will cost $1 for every $100 value or PART THEREOF. In other words if your order is for $145.00 the insurance will be $2.00. This insurance covers goods DAMAGED in transit. We do not automatically insure unless you specify it during the checkout. If you don’t select insurance you are NOT insured.

Free shipping for orders over $500

Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres offers free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $500 made in one transaction. Please not that insurance is not provided and can be added upon checkout.

Other Postage FAQS

All orders require a signature on receipt of your parcel, unless the buyer has given written authority to leave the parcel in a secure location. If written authority to leave is given, Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres will not be held responsible if the parcel is lost, stolen or damaged.

To avoid delays in delivery, please provide a shipping address where someone will be available to sign for the parcel. If your order was shipped with Australia Post and no one is available to sign for the parcel, it will be taken to your nearest Australia Post Office. You will receive a collection card in your mail box informing you of how and where to collect your parcel.

Please note that Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres is not liable for any delays in delivery once the parcel is with the postal service. If a parcel arrives to you late due to any unforeseen delay with the postal service, Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres will not be liable to cover any costs associated with this.

If you select flat rate or express post without the insurance option, Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres will be unable to provide any compensation in the event that your parcel is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. If the plus insurance options is selected and your parcel is lost, stolen or damaged in transit, Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres will assist you with making a claim with Australia Post. Please note that your parcel is insured by Australia Post and not by Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres and all decisions relating to an insurance claim are decided by Australia Post. If for any reason your claim is denied by Australia Post, Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres is not liable to make compensation for any loss or damage incurred.

If you no longer require your order due to late arrival or any other reason other than an item being faulty, you will be required to cover return postage costs of the item and no refund will be given for any shipping costs. Your return will also be subject to our refund policy.
