The Turbosmart TS-HCT-M100 Constant Tension Hose Clamp is the largest in the range, covering 3.750" to 4.625" (95–117mm), and is supplied as a pack of 2. It suits Turbosmart 3.75" and 4.00" silicone hose – big-turbo compressor inlets, 4" intake tubes and large intercooler piping.

Why constant tension?

Standard worm-drive clamps are set once and stay at that diameter. Silicone hose and alloy pipework expand when hot and shrink when cold, so after repeated heat cycles a fixed clamp can end up loose – the classic cause of a boost leak or a popped hose. On large-diameter joints the problem is amplified, because the same percentage of expansion is a bigger absolute change. A constant tension clamp keeps applying the same clamping force through those cycles, so the joint stays sealed without constant re-tightening.
