The Turbosmart vIWG Vacuum-Operated Wastegate Actuator is a bolt-on upgrade designed for the factory turbo system on the 1.6L Prince turbocharged engines (N14 and N18) found in the R56 Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works models.

Compared to the OEM actuator, it improves boost response, stability, and overall control across the RPM range by increasing the working ratio. This is achieved through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised internal spring calibration, allowing stronger and more precise control over boost pressure and exhaust backpressure.

With factory base pressure, the result is quicker turbo spool, a stronger mid-range torque curve, and improved boost holding at higher RPM.
