The Turbosmart vIWG Series Vacuum-Operated Wastegate Actuator is designed to deliver precise boost control and improved response for a wide range of turbocharger applications. It is commonly used where a universal or custom-fit actuator setup is required rather than a direct OEM replacement.

Compared to factory actuators, the vIWG improves boost stability and response by increasing the working ratio through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised spring calibration. This increases mechanical leverage against boost pressure and backpressure, while maintaining smooth and responsive actuator movement across the RPM range.

With factory base pressure, the result is earlier boost onset, a broader torque curve, and improved boost retention at higher RPM. Higher pressure setups can further enhance performance, though tuning and recalibration are recommended for optimal results.
