The Turbosmart IWG75 Upgraded Wastegate Actuator is designed to deliver maximum boost response and improved turbo control for factory-frame turbochargers fitted to the Subaru EJ207 platform, including VF36 and VF37 turbo setups found in the GDB WRX STI (2002–2006).

Compared to the factory actuator, the IWG75 improves boost stability, spool response, and overall drivability by increasing the working ratio. This is achieved through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised internal spring calibration, creating greater mechanical leverage against boost pressure and exhaust backpressure while maintaining fast and precise actuator response.

With factory base pressure, the result is earlier boost onset, a broader torque curve, and improved boost retention into higher RPM. Higher pressure variants can further enhance performance, though ECU tuning and recalibration is recommended.
