GFB VTA Blow Off Valve for Fiat, Abarth & Alfa Romeo 1.4 MultiAir Turbo

The GFB VTA (Vent To Atmosphere) T9416 is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory electronic diverter valve on the 1.4 MultiAir turbo engine used across the Abarth 500 / 595 / 695, Fiat Punto Abarth, Fiat 124 Spider, Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Alfa Romeo MiTo. It gives you the classic blow-off valve sound while keeping the factory ECU control strategy fully intact.

Why fit a GFB VTA?

  • No boost leak – the VTA uses a pilot-actuated piston rather than the factory solenoid-and-diaphragm design, so it seals under boost even on tuned engines.
  • Faster than the OEM valve – pilot operation means the valve opens quicker and more fully between shifts, reducing compressor surge.
  • TMS (Turbo Management System) – GFB's venting bias keeps the turbo spinning between gear changes for sharper throttle response.
  • Adjustable sound – a trim screw lets you tune the vent volume from a subtle whistle to a full atmospheric release.
  • True plug-and-play – uses the factory electrical connector and mounting flange; no wiring, no check-engine lights, no tune required.
  • Patented design – GFB's pilot-actuation and TMS systems are patented and built in Australia.

Check your engine: the T9416 fits the 1.4 MultiAir turbo with the factory electronic diverter valve. Earlier 1.4 T-Jet engines use a different valve – contact us with your VIN if unsure.

Installation

Bolt-on replacement using the factory mounting and connector. Typical fitting time is under 30 minutes with basic hand tools.
