Sydney Performance Parts & Tyres (ABN 38 169 463 348) respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

Account details: name, email, phone number, password (encrypted).
Order details: billing and shipping address, items purchased.
Vehicle details you choose to add to your garage.
Payment information: handled directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, used to improve the site.

How we use your information

To process and dispatch your orders.
To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
To send order updates, returns notifications, and (with your consent) marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To improve our products, fitment data, and website.
To meet our legal obligations (tax, consumer law, ACCC reporting).

Who we share information with

We share the minimum information needed with:

Shipping carriers (Australia Post, StarTrack, TNT, Couriers Please) to deliver your order.
Our payment processor to take payment.
Cloud hosting and email providers operating under written data-protection agreements.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Security

All traffic to this site is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms. Card data is tokenised and never touches our servers. Access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it to do their job, all of whom are bound by confidentiality.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (cart, checkout, account) will not work without them.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing sales@sydneyperformance.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We retain order and tax records for the minimum period required by Australian law (currently 7 years).

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
