GFB WGA 7306 – Adjustable Internal Wastegate Actuator for Ford Barra XR6 Turbo
The GFB WGA 7306 is a direct-fit, fully adjustable internal wastegate actuator for the 4.0L Barra turbo in the Ford Falcon and Fairmont XR6 Turbo – BA and BF (2002–2008) and FG (2008-on). It replaces the factory actuator, which is known to soften with age and struggle to hold the turbo's wastegate shut once boost is raised, resulting in boost creep, slow spool and inconsistent boost on tuned cars.
Why upgrade to the GFB WGA?
- Faster spool and more consistent boost: a stronger, more precise actuator holds the wastegate firmly closed until target boost, so the turbo comes on sooner and boost doesn't taper at high rpm.
- Nomex-reinforced diaphragm: withstands heat and pressure far beyond the factory rubber unit.
- 18 mm stroke with PEEK rod guide: full wastegate travel, low friction and no rod wear.
- Three springs included (5–22 psi): set the base pressure to suit your tune, from factory boost to serious power.
- Turnbuckle rod adjustment: set rod preload precisely without removing the actuator from the turbo.
- Bolt-on: fits the factory bracket and wastegate arm – no fabrication required.
